Kenya | From Activating Prayer to Making Disciples in Kenya

What began as a virtual Activating Prayer Cohort quickly evolved into a powerful movement—activating, training, and mobilizing believers to bring the ministry of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to all corners of Nairobi, Kenya. Chris participated in the Cohort, applying the prayer tools locally, and soon saw God move in his missional spaces in new and exciting ways. Excitement spread quickly to family, friends, and others.

After completing the Cohort and receiving additional training through the Disciple Making-Cohort, Chris and his friends felt empowered to offer the Activating Prayer Cohort within their growing network. In just the past six months, they’ve hosted four cohorts and seen God’s work expand even further.

Preceding all of this gospel momentum, their community had begun seeking the Lord in prayer, asking him about the “greater things” he promised in John 14:12. God’s response was clear: he directed them to Novo and the Cohort. Chris shared that every class they attended during that initial Cohort was marked by the presence of the Holy Spirit. They witnessed signs and wonders, people being set free, and physical healings. Many young people have stepped into their identity as Royal Priests, boldly declaring the Kingdom wherever they go—and things are changing!

When Chris reflected on their physical healing module, he said, “Every case presented was instantly healed. It was amazing.” He also asked, “Have we always had this power available to us and simply didn’t know how to apply it? We are so grateful.”
